Procurement of New Fleet of Multi-Functional Devices

Further to Decision No D100123CAB, the report provided an update on progress in the procurement exercise undertaken for a new fleet of multi-functional devices (MFDs) and recommended a mechanism for approving the most economically advantageous tender to enable the procurement to proceed without delay.
The Cabinet resolved that:
1) the suggested procurement of the MFDs via the Kent County Council (Central Buying Consortium) Framework Agreement be endorsed;
2) authority be delegated to the Central Services Director (in consultation with the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Innovation and Improvement) to accept the most economically advantageous tender; and
3) the outcome of the procurement exercise be reported to a future meeting of the Cabinet for information.
Reasons: As set out in the report of the Central Services Director.
